Tuesday 17 March 9.30am – 11.30am
At this stage our KiaKaha Fun Run will continue tomorrow as planned.
The Prime Minister, Ministry of Education and Ministry of Health are guiding decisions about travel, quarantines and gatherings of large groups.
We receive daily updates from the MOE regarding prevention of COVID19.
At this stage most large events in the North Island are still going ahead.
We have no confirmed cases of COVID19 in the BOP and have not been given any advice about cancelling such events.
We do anticipate an announcement from the Prime Minister in the next day or so regarding group events of over 500 people.
Should we receive this advice before our event and are advised to cancel it, we will do so.
In the meantime – we will be outside in the fresh air, continuing to use good basic hygiene with hand washing and sanitising. Whanau are still encouraged to join us tomorrow – unless they are unwell. Anyone unwell with cold/flu like symptoms should not attend the Kia Kaha funrun or be at school.
