OUR TOWN
Te Puke is a safe, warm and friendly rural town within the beautiful, sunny Bay of Plenty region. Just 20 minutes from the city of Tauranga, 10 minutes from stunning white sand beaches and numerous golf courses, it is the ideal location to live, learn and experience.
Typical leisure activities include golfing, swimming, surfing, diving and hiking. The warm, sunny climate provides perfect conditions for various horticultural growth particularly kiwifruit and avocados.
Neighbouring main centres of Tauranga, Mount Maunganui, Rotorua and Whakatane also offer a variety of activities and sites for students to experience. Both Auckland and Hamilton are easily accessible.
OUR SCHOOL
Te Puke Intermediate is a medium sized school with approximately 330 students. Big enough to be able to offer a vast range of opportunities and experiences but small enough that staff and students all know one another.
We offer a strong educational pathways to secondary and tertiary education. Our local high school has a well established International Department and we work closely with them to ensure smooth transitions for all students. Tertiary study options include Bay of Plenty Polytechnic and University of Waikato.
