Technology

2-Year TPI Technology Programme

Students engage in Visual Art, Workshop, Food Technology, and Graphics & Design within well-resourced, dedicated spaces led by passionate specialist teachers.

Programme Goals

  • Ignite Curiosity: Foster a lifelong interest and curiosity in hands-on technology areas
  • Build Technical Skills: Develop comprehensive expertise across all four core technology disciplines
  • Cultivate Life Skills: Build self-management, critical thinking, innovation, communication, and collaboration through real-world experiences.

How We Deliver This

  • Specialist Facilities: Provide strong, practical, skill-based learning inside dedicated spaces
  • Inclusive Community: Cater directly to the specific needs, cultures, and diversity of our school
  • Cultural Collaboration: Partner the skills and interests of Kaiako (teachers) and Ākonga (learners) while supporting core school values
  • Integrated Themes: Align specialist technology lessons with the unique learning needs and themes of each core Learning Centre
  • Student Leadership: Offer leadership opportunities and interest groups tailored to diverse student needs
  • Core Foundations: Embed functional numeracy and literacy development into every lesson
  • Transparent Communication: Share real-time learning updates with parents and teachers through the HERO SMS platform
  • Celebrating Success: Reward student achievements during termly assemblies and end-of-year Prizegiving ceremonies.
